is an important and complicated task. Rusk ISD offers you a comprehensive benefits package to achieve this goal. You have
several options to enhance your understanding and evaluation of this package.
IMPORTANT: Effective beginning on January 1, 2011, over-the-counter medicines or drugs (e.g. Advil, Ibuprofen, cough syrup) are not eligible for reimbursement under an FSA, without a doctor’s prescription. Insulin is the only medicine that doesn’t require a prescription. Also supplies that you need for medical care (e.g. contact lens solutions, bandages for wounds, thermometers) will continue to be eligible for reimbursement.
As such, upcoming enrollment in your employer’s flexible spending account should take into consideration as of 1/1/2011, over the counter items will no longer be reimbursable under the health FSA.
Enrollment Login Information
This year's online enrollment uses a different username and password! Your new username is the first six letters of your last name
and the first letter of your first name, followed by the last four numbers of your Social Security Number.
Your password will be your full last name and the last four numbers of your Social Security
Number.
Things to Remember for 2010-2011
Rusk ISD Cafeteria plan year is September 1, 2010 through August 31, 2011. MGM is offering the MGM Flex Card for all new
participants of the Medical Reimbursement Account. The fee for the flex card is $1.50 per month. Do not throw out your MGM
Flex Card. The card is good for 3 years and can be reloaded with your new election.
IMPORTANT: These accounts are "USE IT OR LOSE IT."
Effective beginning on January 1, 2011, over-the-counter medicines or drugs will no longer eligible for

The Humana/CompBenefits Dental plan will not have a rate increase this year. To view the rates, click on Benefit

Block Vision will be the vision plan provider for 9/1/2010 and the plan will not have a rate increase this year. To
view the rates, click on Benefit Highlights / Vision.
Unum Disability: The Unum Disability plan is the Educator Select Income Protection Plan. During the annual enrollment
period, employees can increase or add disability coverage without providing evidence of insurability! New coverage
amounts or changes are subject to pre-existing condition limitations. See plan information under the benefit highlight
tab for details on plan options and benefit changes.
NEW! Hartford Life is the new Voluntary Life, and Dependent Term Life carrier effective 9/1/2010. Existing coverage
through Mutual of Omaha will automatically be moved to Hartford. This year Employees can increase by $10,000, not
to exceed $150,000, without providing evidence of insurability. Amounts over $150,000 wil require evidence of
insurability applications. If you are electing coverage for the first time, evidence insurability will be required.
Electing coverage for your Spouse for the first time or coverage increases will require evidence of insurability.
NEW! Hartford will be the carrier for the AD&D coverage. You can purchase accidental death and dismemberment insurance in
the amounts of $10,000 to $500,000 (maximum of 10x's your annual salary). See plan information under the benefit highlight
tab for details on plan options and benefit changes.
Plan offerings to Rusk ISD employees include: CompBenefits Dental Plan, Block Vision, Unum Educator Plan Disability, Philadelphia
American (formaly CSO) Cancer, The Hartford Ter Life and AD&D and Flexible Spending Accounts. All of these benefits will be
offered on a 9/1 effective date basis (pending applicable applications for life and cancer plans). |
